Make A Group
About us
When you want to make a group, you need to think of an idea, what the group should be about and describe it with your own words first.
Such as, « Project Educate, originally launched in 2008 by the Community Relations team, is a project to promote and support artistic growth and knowledge throughout the community. The project includes contests, interviews, and various other events for artistic and community involvement. » - projecteducate
After the description DeviantArt ask to pick the location of the group. It may be a Global group or it is specific for a continent
1 deviant said DA Chats: Why You Should Be Using ThemSenior Week
Have you ever heard of dAmn? "dAmn" stands for the DeviantArt Messaging Network otherwise known as the forum and chat network. For more in depth information about what dAmn is, check out the FAQ: What is dAmn?
This article will describe several reasons why you should be utilizing the chat network section of dAmn. It's fair to say I spend most of my DA time in the chat rooms. In fact, my closest friends on this website are those I met while chatting! The rooms can be a lot of fun and I have come across so much artistic talent that I showcase my findings in a weekly journal feature. My goal today is to give you several reasons why you should be using dAmn if you are not already. :eager: I'll include links to some of the more popular chat rooms at the end. Click one or two and give them a try!
So, why use the chat network?

No deviants said Seniors Mentoring ProjectSenior Week
IntroductionAs part of Senior Week at projecteducate and dAseniors, I'd like to share a bit about the Seniors Mentoring Project (SMP for short). SMP is based at the seniormentors group on DeviantArt and aims to be a supportive path for deviants to get real mentor support from DeviantArt's Senior Members.
Origin and PurposeThe group operates such that Mentor Volunteers (Senior Members who have elected to join the Mentor team) may reach out to deviants on a one-to-one basis and provide instruction, detailed feedback, and constructive criticism. The group was originally founded in 2007 by cei- and is currently under the supervision of LostKitten.
SMP TodaySMP was recently revamped in the hopes that more Seniors would like to devote their time and knowledge to mentor other deviants as well as in the hopes that deviants would like to receive help and feedback from whom they believe are appropriate sources of this inf
No deviants said My DeviantArt storySenior Week
Hi, I'm pwassonne, the current manager of InternationalFAQ, and a Senior member since last summer. This is my DeviantArt story: the story of how a clueless French Internet newbie came to be... well, the deviant I am today.
I was not always into art. When I was in school, I didn't like art classes and I wasn't confident in my writing. I would sometimes write beginnings of fantasy stories (some of which I still remember, but would prefer to forget) but I never got past the first couple chapters because I had no idea what I was doing, and what sort of stories I wanted to tell. That was until I started using the Internet and discovered the wonderful world of fan art through a small French-language Pokémon fan website I had joined for its game walkthroughs. It was a dark and stormy night... or, much more likely, a merely cloudy afternoon, and I learned what fanfiction was. To my naive teenage self, fanfiction looked much easier to write than original stories (whic
No deviants said Interview - Seniors Who Were Formerly CVsSenior Week
Today we are interviewing Seniors who have been Community Volunteers in the past
We've all wondered at some point in our DA life "what does it take to become a Senior?" And when we read the official answer on :faq29: We see that there are many reasons for it, but all of those reasons talk about a positive contribution to the community. Well, today :iconSserenita: and :iconTheGalleryOfEve: sat down with some of those former Community Volunteers who are now Senior Members, to talk to them and see how they view Seniority from their perspective. Our interviewees are :iconastralseed:, :iconmaytel:, :iconrydi1689:, :iconthiefoworld:, :icontiganusi: and :iconTommyGK:
How do you feel about Seniority in general?
This is kind of difficult to answer because I don't feel like there is any one feeling attached to seniority. Seniority is a really cool thing and I am happy to be a part of it, but I also realize that it's n
No deviants said Senior Members: Diverse Artists TooSenior Week
Even though we're often thought of as community icons and public personalities onsite, the community of senior members is wonderfully broad - both in terms of our personal experiences and activities onsite, and our artwork. Below I've selected some work across various genres and media by DeviantArt's senior members to showcase how diverse we actually are. Some of these pieces are iconic in the DA galleries, but others are less-known or by people from long ago who you might have forgotten.
Since there are so many seniors, I've had to limit the number I could post in this article. For an extended sample, see This Collection or check the gallery at dAseniors!

No deviants said PE: Seniority, What Does It Mean?Senior Week
Seniority on DeviantArt is that cool thing that gives a user a pretty medal next to their username. Today I'd like to shine a bit of light on what seniority actually means.
Before we dive into all of this though I'd like to start out by quoting :faq29:
"So what does it take to become a Senior? That's a question many have asked and have never really been able to get a straight answer on. Some have gained Seniority as a thank you for their time spent as a Volunteer, or to recognize their contribution to a particular project or collaborative action. Some have gained Seniority because of their community spirit, providing help and assistance to many other deviants and taking time out to promote the work of others in the community.
Some people have received Seniority because of their artistic endeavour, having a positive influence on their peers by sharing resources, providing constructive criticism and by being a voice that stands out above the many others who deviate to be reco

:blowkiss: Hello! I'm going through favorites I've missed in the past and thanking people, so bear with me for taking so long to give a personal reply.
:iconrubcheeksplz: Thank you SO much for your support by adding some of my pieces to your favorites last year. :giggle: A long time ago, I know! But I had to thank you sometime!

This is a formal invitation to come and see where my gallery has gone since then, since I believe I've vastly improved. If you don't care for it no harm done and I won't bother you anymore. :D
